Real stories from the communities and entrepreneurs transforming their lives through reliable energy.
On behalf of New Life Primary School, Mubende, I sincerely thank FRES Solar for this generous support. Reliable solar lighting will enable our Primary Seven candidates to study safely and comfortably, especially during the late evening and night hours.
Thank you, FRES Solar, for investing in the future of our learners. May God bless you all.
Since I joined FRES, I am relieved from daily petrol costs. My business runs steadily, and I can focus on serving customers. I save up to 30% on power and now benefit from a predictable monthly energy payment instead of worrying about fuel procurement and generator maintenance.
Within less than two months, I have referred five new clients to FRES — three of whom are already connected and benefiting.
When the FRES Solar mini-grid was extended to Kanyabihara, the change was not just about lighting homes — it was about transforming how the entire community operates. Before reliable electricity, our milk collection center depended on a diesel generator to run cooling equipment. Fuel costs were high, breakdowns frequent, and spoiled milk a constant risk.
Now we have achieved 60% savings, consistent cooling, longer operating hours, and more profits. The wider community also benefits from street lights and extended business hours.
